The Antonini 5550/N is a classic Italian-made pruning knife, designed for gardeners, orchardists, and outdoor workers who value precision and durability. Its 65mm straight, mirror-polished carbon steel blade ensures clean cuts—perfect for pruning, trimming, and general horticultural use.
The slip joint mechanism allows for smooth, reliable operation, while the sturdy black acetate handle offers excellent grip and resilience against the elements. Steel liners further enhance the knife’s strength, making it a long-lasting addition to your toolkit.
Carbon Steel Blade Care:
This knife is made from high-quality carbon steel, which holds a sharp edge exceptionally well but requires extra care to prevent rusting and oxidation. Avoid dishwashers and soaking. After use, clean with a damp cloth, dry thoroughly, and apply a light coating of vegetable oil to protect the blade. If rust develops, remove it with steel wool and re-oil. Over time, the blade will naturally develop a patina, adding character and indicating its working history.
