The CPM-CruWear® steel used in this knife is an air-hardenable, non-stainless tool steel that offers improved toughness and wear resistance over D2 steel. With the addition of vanadium for hard vanadium carbides, as well as tungsten and molybdenum to enhance working hardness without sacrificing toughness, this knife provides exceptional edge retention and durability.
